OUR PUPPETRY WORKSHOPS
“Thanks so much, it was such a great workshop. So informative and fun at the same time! The students are still buzzing about it. You were so engaging and supportive of the students. We had lots of shouts of ‘best workshop I have ever done’. It was inspiring and so thought provoking. Especially the time you took to give advice and support with regards to the Q&A too” Natalie Midworth, Head of Drama, Lytchett Minster Sixth Form
Animate is renowned for delivering puppetry workshops of the highest quality across various age groups (reviews can be found here!). We currently offer two workshop options.
INTRODUCTION TO PUPPETRY WORKSHOPS (KS4 +)
These stand alone puppetry workshops are available to book for students KS4 and above.
In these supportive and engaging sessions, we teach the fundamentals of puppetry. Students are guided through a range of solo and group activities before creating short scenes to share with the group. To discover more about these workshops, click here.
PUPPETRY & WELLBEING HAMPSHIRE PROJECT (KS2)
This project has been created specifically for KS2 years and offer a hands-on introduction to puppetry as a tool for expression & connection.
This project has been supported using public funding by Arts Council England.
Students are shown how to make their own puppet before using it to explore storytelling & characterisation. These workshops build confidence, develop imagination and communication skills, understand empathy, and support emotional wellbeing through playful, collaborative creativity at a crucial stage in a child's development.
